Sustainable Justice
HBCU Fellowship

The Sustainable Justice HBCU Fellowship supports Historically Black College and University (HBCU) students in growing their sustainability professions.

HBCU students gain professional experiences in sustainability and environmental justice, leadership development coaching, and connections with experts in the sustainability and environmental justice industry.

  • Fellows are placed in internships with community-based environmental justice organizations for 10 weeks between June and August.

  • To support their holistic development as scholars and sustainability professionals, fellows will receive weekly professional development seminars throughout the summer from Sustain Our Future Foundation’s team.

  • Fellows are compensated $5,000 internship stipends and awarded a $10,000 scholarship upon successfully completing the fellowship. Internship host organizations receive a grant of $10,000 in support of their grassroots advocacy, outreach, and programs.
