Position: Regenerative Communities Project Manager

Reports to: Regenerative Economy Program Manager

Classification: Full-time, Exempt 

Location: Remote with Maryland-based onsite visits and travel required.

Sustain Our Future Foundation seeks a dynamic, strategic, creative, with a strong commitment to social equity and environmental justice, to serve as a Project Manager for the Foundation. The individual will have the experience, skills, and analysis necessary to support the implementation of the Foundation’s programmatic initiatives.

The Project Manager will lead the Regenerative Communities Project (RCP), which mobilizes resources for hyperlocal sustainable infrastructure development to ensure development aligns with sovereignty, agency, and community self-determination. Rather than create infrastructures that continue perpetuating systems of extraction and exploitation, the RCP centers community engagement and decision-making to create truly sustainable infrastructure. 

As the lead for the project, the Project Manager will support the RCP’s strategy implementation and contribute to built environment related environmental health efforts that prioritize the well-being of frontline communities. The Project Manager will support the implementation of initiatives that advance community environmental health and resilience such as: 

  • Renewables, Energy Efficiency, and Electrification

  • Water Infrastructure

  • Transportation Equity

  • Circular Communities 

  • Resiliency Hubs 

  • Community-driven Air Quality Monitoring
